Emily “Em” Lady

Career Specialist

Emily, known to many as "Em," is excited to be back at the RIC, where she worked from 2020-2023. She returned to her role as career specialist in 2026, and says that it “felt like coming home.” Em holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work with a minor in Social Justice, and has had the privilege of working in a variety of roles within the refugee and immigrant community on and off over the years including RIC partner Community Refugee and Immigration Services (CRIS). 

“As someone who moved around often growing up, I’ve developed a deep passion for helping others feel welcomed, seen, and included.”

Em lives with her husband Chris one block away from the original RIC location.
