Renae Bumpus

English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher

Renae is a U.S. citizen who was born in Germany. She has lived in the Columbus area most of her life and earned undergraduate degrees in TESOL and International Community Development. For the past 15 years, Renae taught ESL classes in various schools and organizations, one of which was the RIC in its early years!

She particularly loves working with kids and this bleeds over into the way she teaches adults which is ‘lively and fun”. She says, “I love helping people know what they want to know. This is what makes teaching adults interesting because they have a specific goals for their learning, and that excites me.”

Renae lives with her husband and 2 young sons. She enjoys reading books, taking walks, swimming, and hanging out with her neighbors.
