Fatoumata Sow

Career Specialist

Fatoumata Sow, aka Fatou, has a passion to help New Americans find meaningful employment and a gain a deeper understanding of the American workforce. Originally from Guinea, West Africa, she grew up in New York City before moving to Granville, Ohio, where she pursued her Bachelor’s in International Relations at Denison University.

During her time at Denison, Fatou worked in several jobs and internships, including at Michelle Obama's Foundation in Washington D.C. and engaging with international companies. She worked at the Denison Financial Aid Office for four impactful years before embarking on a new chapter, managing a family restaurant in Istanbul post-graduation.

Returning to the States, she worked in the private jet industry, but ultimately decided to follow her passion for service and helping others.

"For me, the beauty lies in meeting individuals from different cultures and backgrounds and being caring, talking honestly, and really listening. As a first generation American, I take pride in helping create opportunities that enrich the lives of others. I hope to make a difference in the Riverview community and our world!"
